Nine Bomb Attacks in Denmark
In the space of four days, two bombs have exploded in Denmark’s capital city of Copenhagen. The first was detonated outside the Tax Agency, blowing out several windows and throwing metal cladding into the street. If the damage is anything to go by, it was a substantially powerful bomb.
The second, which happened last night (August 10th 2019), exploded outside a police station. Glass shattered and there was a lot of damage dealt to the building’s exterior.
Luckily no-one has been killed in either bombing, and just one person was lightly injured in the Tax Agency blast.
Police in Denmark said the bombs were a “deliberate attack” (no shit) but are yet to say if they consider it terror related or not. They did stipulate though that they believe the aim of the attacks is to damage buildings, rather than murdering people. They also release footage of man in black dropping the bomb off in a “!Solid clothing” carrier bag outside the station.
Police station damage
Despite the fact these two IEDs went off in a popular European city—two in four days no less—you likely haven’t heard about the Copenhagen explosions. They’ve received little attention in the international press. Not sure why. Maybe it’s because no-one was killed. Who knows?
Anyway, it turns out that these bombings aren’t as unusual as they seem. In fact, since February 2019, a total of nine bombs have exploded in Copenhagen. Nine. Nine notably large explosions in Copenhagen in six months. All intentional. That’s a huge issue.
I had no idea this was happening on a such a large scale, and generally I’m the kind of weirdo that keeps a close eye on any IEDs that go off anywhere. Friend of Popular Front and number one suicide car-bomb researcher Hugo Kaaman alerted me to the additional bombs.
Tax Agency bombing
I’m not saying these nine bombs are all linked, or dealt out by the same person or the same group, but I do think it’d be quite unusual if they weren’t some how connected considering they happened in Copenhagen—a place classed as definitely-not-a-warzone.
Nine Bombings
The first explosion in this series of nine bombings happened on February 13th at a clothing shop in Copenhagen. Alis, a streetwear brand in Denmark, had its shop windows blown out, with additional damage dealt to the building.
Less than a week later, on February 18th, another explosion happened in almost the same spot, right near to Alis.
On April 14th, a 53-year-old man had his car blown up. The damage was extensive. This was a serious car-bomb.

On May 7th a BMW was seemingly blown up. Police thought at first it might have been a fire, but later called in explosives experts on the suspicion it’d been bombed.
May 10th—a Thansen warehouse had its front gates blown off.
Thansen warehouse explosion
On a Friday night, May 31st, another car was blown up.
June 16th, a bomb goes off outside an auto-repair shop. Police said several people were seen running from the scene before it detonated.
Then August 6th and August 10th are the aforementioned Tax Agency and police station bombings.
Something else worth noting, that Lotus Hansen on Twitter mentioned to me, is that the August 6th Tax Agency bombing happened exactly 16 years to the date after another tax building was bombed in Denmark… Huge coincidence if the two aren’t related.
So that’s nine bombings in Copenhagen this year alone. None have killed anyone, all have had similar targets.
I think it’s possible that this could be some kind of anarcho or anti-capitalist group launching these bombings. Not sure. It would kind of fit the MO of similar attacks by such groups in places like Greece. I think it’s either that, or a criminal gang launching the bombings—this wouldn’t actually be that unusual in Europe when you look at the insane number of criminal bombings in Malmö, Sweden.
